20160410_110832Originally from the Northwest, she and her husband moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1980s. The oldest of six girls, she’s been a storyteller for many years. She didn’t discover her talent for poetry until much later. She made up silly poems while caregiving and eventually her hobby became her passion.

Soon, she was sharing her poems outside the home and was encouraged to enter poetry contests. In 2014, she entered the Literary Arts writing contest at the San Francisco County Fair and her poems won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons and are part of that year’s published anthology “Carry the Light”.

Literary Arts is sponsored by the SF/Peninsula chapter of California Writer’s Club (Jack London was one of the founding members) and they asked her to join. There she learned about publishing and soon authored her debut picture book, Spring.

She lives in Belmont with her husband and enjoys cooking, walking, art, reading, volunteering, and spending time with family.
